Salman Khan lauds Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao starrer Mr and Mrs Mahi, says, “looks good”

Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, one of the year’s most anticipated films, recently released its trailer. The movie features Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao as the lead couple. Recently the makers of the movie released a song, ‘Dekhha Tenu’ and audiences showered love for the song. The film’s soundtrack has started to make waves. This song is a recreation of the iconic verse from ‘Say Shava Shava’ in Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’. Composed by Jaani, who also wrote the song, ‘Dekhha Tenu’ features soulful vocals by Mohammad Faiz and a chorus by the Ali Brothers.

The romantic sports drama has garnered significant attention, including praise from Superstar Salman Khan for Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao.

On May 19, Salman shared the trailer on his social media. He said, “Looks good, wishing the cast n crew the very best.” Salman also tagged Janhvi Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, director Sharan Sharma, and producer Karan Johar.

Salman’s gesture touched the film’s team. Karan Johar re-shared Salman’s story as thanking him for the warm wishes. He said,“Salman,Thank you so much, this means a lot to all of us, we can’t wait to share the film with you.” The message was accompanied by red heart emojis. Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao also expressed their gratitude. Janhvi wrote, “Thank you so much sir!!” while Rajkummar added, “Thank you so much dear @beingsalmankhan sir. Your wishes mean a lot to us.”

Directed by Sharan Sharma and co-written by Sharma and Nikhil Mehrotra, Mr. & Mrs. Mahi is a collaboration between Zee Studios and Dharma Productions. The film is produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Zee Studios. It is slated for a cinema release on May 31, 2024.

The movie follows the story of Mahendra and Mahima, a newlywed couple who share the nickname Mahi. Along with name they also share a passion for cricket. Their journey revolves around their ‘imperfectly perfect partnership’ as they pursue their dreams together.

The second song, ‘Agar Ho Tum’, is set to be released tomorrow. A teaser for this soothing track, which emphasises the chemistry between Janhvi and Rajkummar, was released today. This film marks their second collaboration after the 2021 horror comedy ‘Roohi’.
